Diversify To Grow

The good news in all of this is that these new restrictions do NOT apply to commercial real estate loan origination! So it makes a whole lot of sense to diversify your residential lending business to include commercial loans, doesn’t it?
However, the problems you have likely faced in trying to get into commercial lending up to now have been:

  • Finding good, organized, and correct information on the commercial lending process.
  • Finding and understanding how to use effective tools for analyzing, presenting, and funding commercial loans.
  • Understanding how to effectively market to commercial investors without feeling like a newbie idiot.

A Tested Commercial Lending Analysis and Presentation Spreadsheet to Use in Your Daily Business

The nice thing about commercial lending is that it is all based upon “the numbers.” It is very easy to tell if you have a viable loan candidate provided you have the right tools to analyze the transaction.

Once you do, then you have to concern yourself with how to present the financing request to your lender(s).

Lastly, when you get some good quotes back, it helps to have a good format to use to present your alternatives to your clients.
